Do you love being out in the forest?
Do you enjoy poetry that reflects the peace and wonders of nature?
Join us on the scenic Fall Creek trail to experience a harmonious and restorative blend of nature immersion and poetry. We will step away from the stresses of modern life and slow down, open our senses, and let the peace of forest and stream nourish us.
Together we will enjoy a skillful weaving of walking in the woods, nature awareness activities, and poetry that calls us home to our innate kinship with nature. We'll discover easy and enjoyable ways to experience the peace and beauty of the natural world more deeply and have a chance to try our hands at writing a poem if we feel inspired.
Expect to leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, with simple tools to help you cultivate a deeper connection with nature, some new poem friends, and perhaps inspiration to write your own.
This is a very gentle, experiential program—not a vigorous hike. We will walk about half a mile and spend more time sitting than walking. Most of the activities will be done near the creek.
Class meets in the parking lot at the main entrance to Fall Creek. Note that there are no restrooms in this park.
Class size is limited, and advanced registration is required. Those who register will receive more detailed information and directions via email.
