The First 70 Parks - Movie Trailer

Last May, California announced plans to close 70 of their 278 parks, a devastating move that is intended to save the state a mere $22 million per year. The closure list includes thousands of acres of park land and 50 percent of the state's historic parks. The First 70 is a short film about Californians banding together to enact change and develop solutions in the face of a glaring bureaucratic oversight. The film is scheduled to premiere in March of next year. That's four months before the official park closure date of July 2012, and we think it will be a great showpiece for the issue.
